Whistleblower (aka Speak up/Speak Out) Training
Face-To-Face or Live Virtual Training
Introduction To Our Whistleblower (aka Speak up/Speak Out) Training
Whistleblowing refers to the act of an individual, typically an employee, reporting misconduct such as corruption, sexual harassment or other misconduct. It is sometimes known as ‘speak up’ or ‘speak out’ within organisations, but the fundamental process remains the same.
Too often, whistleblowers are exposed without adequate protection, and there is a concerning tendency among some managers to seek the identity of the whistleblower unnecessarily.
Proper training is essential for all staff to ensure they understand how to appropriately handle whistleblower reports. It is equally important for managers to be aware of the complexities and sensitivities involved when someone makes a disclosure.
Good To Know
Whistleblowing is often mistakenly viewed negatively, but it should be embraced as a positive force for identifying and addressing areas of concern within an organisation. It provides a valuable opportunity to correct issues and improve overall performance, helping to make the organisation the best it can be.
We offer a number of options from our Bitesized Whistleblower training which focusses on a specific area which is delivered via teams and is delivered remotely in real-time, or our one, two or three day courses which not only examine the theory such as the legislation and crucial areas such as what is ´detriment´ and how to maximise the information obtained from someone who wants to make a report through to practically applying the knowledge in a practical setting using role-players to practice these skills in a safe learning environment.
We also offer an accredited qualification which means that you can demonstrate your competency in the workplace, through an Ofqual awarding body.
Additionally, we offer a whistleblower management service, providing an independent platform for your organization to receive reports. This service helps maintain objectivity and protects against potential allegations of victimization or unfair treatment, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
